A community of support surrounds the young mothers at Journey of Hope. We'd love to have you as part of the team. Whether it's leading a Bible study, providing childcare, donating diapers, or contributing financially, each role is vitally important. Explore our volunteer opportunities below and meet some of the special people who God has called to this important ministry.
Roles:

Provide direct support to mothers and infants, including helping with daily routines as needed.

Offer emotional support to residents, by building trusting relationships and providing a compassionate, non-judgmental presence.

Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for both mothers and infants.

Ensure that mothers and infants are comfortable and respond promptly to any requests or needs during the night.

Maintain a quiet and peaceful environment for rest and recovery, addressing an
disturbances or concerns that may arise. -
Assist with light administrative tasks, such as updating resident logs or preparing for the morning shift handoff.

Support residents in accessing educational resources, activities, and group support sessions focused on prenatal and postnatal care.

Assist with light transportation needs, including accompanying residents to appointments or running errands as needed.

Monitor the well-being of residents, reporting any concerns or significant changes to the Executive Director.

Foster a sense of community by encouraging participation in group activities and
providing a listening ear to residents. -
Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies and ensuring the maternity home is stocked with necessary items.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while providing a positive and encouraging experience for all residents.

Review and record the daily occurrences of the house and with individual residents including medication dispensing at the end of each shift.

Ensure confidentiality and respect for the privacy of all residents.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the maternity home during overnight hours.
